Laser welding for cheese production

Milk processing factory Berglandmilch and dairy farm Obersteirische Molokerei entrusted company Seiwald Blechform to manufacture cheese ripening racks (grates) for huge cheese producing companies.

Our task consisted in optimization of the existing construction, which would suite both – automated systems of cheesemaking, storing and transportation and manual controlled ones.

The great importance was attached to the closed butt joints “Hygienic Design” in order to prevent dissemination of microorganisms, which requires easy access to all the surfaces to be cleaned up.

While manufacturing the racks our laser welding machine was mainly used. The joints made by the robot comply with the quality requirements of the food production factories.
